There are multiple ways to help you identify your Mac serial number.

The simplest is the About This Mac dialog box, available by choosing About This Mac from the Apple menu  in the top left-hand corner of your screen. 

If you don’t have your Mac or it doesn’t start up, you can find the serial number printed on the underside of your Mac, near the regulatory markings.
